NYTimes.com Access Change

Photo by Ethan Klosterman.Bryn Mawr College has switched to an “academic pass” system for accessing NYTimes.com. Now you can access The New York Times anytime, anywhere by visiting http://nytimes.com/pass and registering with your Bryn Mawr College email address to claim a 24 hour pass. Once your pass has expired, return to http://nytimes.com/pass and log in as a returning user to claim a new pass.

All NYTimes.com Pass users have unlimited access to the New York Times archived articles outside the 1923–1980 date range. Pass users may access up to 5 free articles published between the years 1923 through 1980 for the duration of their pass.

This access is made possible by a partnership between the library and the Bryn Mawr Self Government Association (SGA).  Access does not include e-reader editions, Premium Crosswords or The New York Times Crosswords apps.

Our other sources for full-text access to historical The New York Times (from 1851, excluding the most recent 3 years), remain unchanged.  See all the access options in Tripod.

See the NYTimes.com Academic Pass FAQ page for more information or contact library@brynmawr.edu with any questions.
