Carpenter has a new scanner

The libraries have a new overhead scanner, in Visual Resources in Carpenter Library. Anyone can use it—all you need is a USB memory drive. You can save images as multi-page pdfs, tiffs, or jpegs (it’s great for scanning books and journals). It even removes your fingers from the image automatically. The scanner is available whenever the library is open.
